everyone!
So, this week, we had a really fun zone conference! Elder Terry of the Seventy was there presiding, and he spoke to us about a lot of different things. After he spoke to us, President McCune spoke to us about lots of things, but especially about the principle of obedience. Here' some of my notes regarding what he spoke to us about, and it's something I think we all can learn from:
So, this week, we had a really fun zone conference! Elder Terry of the Seventy was there presiding, and he spoke to us about a lot of different things. After he spoke to us, President McCune spoke to us about lots of things, but especially about the principle of obedience. Here' some of my notes regarding what he spoke to us about, and it's something I think we all can learn from:
Obedience:
- We
need the protection that obedience to the commandments of God affords us.
- The
expectation is EXACT obedience. 1% changes do NOT apply here. If
we aren't being obedient, then forsake what we are doing, and align ourselves
back with Heavenly Father now.
- As
we are obedient, do we have the faith to receive the blessings from that obedience?
-
The little acts of obedience slowly build enormous barriers of protection for
each one of us, on or off the mission.
- In
the Utah Provo mission (or replace with "kingdom of God"), we are
exactly obedient.
Just
some thoughts on that one. :)
